CSL Nurse 2026 Vacancy Details
The total number of vacancies for CSL Nurse Recruitment 2026 is 2 posts.
Note: CSL reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies or not to fill up any of the vacancies or cancel the recruitment process as per its requirement. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) shall be as per Government of India guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria for CSL Nurse 2026
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Three year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
Candidates should have four years of experience as Nurse in a Hospital or Nursing Home or Primary Health Centre or First Aid Centre in a Factory.
2. Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 40 years as on 14 January 2026
- Age Relaxation: For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines (however, in no case shall the age limit after applying all relaxations exceed 50 years)
- Age calculation date: 14 January 2026
3. Nationality
Candidates must be Indian citizens as the notification is issued by Cochin Shipyard Limited, a Government of India company.
Selection Process for CSL Nurse 2026
Candidates will be selected based on the following process:
- Objective Type Test (35 minutes, 30 multiple choice questions, 1 mark each, no negative marking; 10 marks General, 20 marks Discipline related)
- Practical Test (70 marks)
- Document/Certificate Verification
- Medical Examination as prescribed by CSL
The minimum pass mark for each of the Objective Type Test and Practical Test is 50% of total marks for unreserved posts and 40% of total marks for PwBD candidates. CSL may relax the minimum pass mark if the number of qualified candidates is insufficient.

- Application Fee: ₹ 300/- (Non-refundable, plus bank charges extra)
- Exempted Categories: Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)
- Payment Mode: Online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking using the online application facility from 29 December 2025 to 14 January 2026; no other mode of payment shall be accepted
For applicants for whom the fee is applicable, candidature shall be considered only on receipt of the application fee.

- Complete the One Time Registration in the SAP Online portal
- Submit the online application for the Nurse posts between 29 December 2025 and 14 January 2026
- Ensure all certificates towards proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste and a recent passport size colour photograph are uploaded in the SAP online application portal
- Pay the applicable application fee online using the available payment options
- Ensure all entries in the online application are correctly filled and the application is successfully submitted (status shown as “In process” in “My Applications”)
- Retain a soft copy/printout of the online application with the unique registration number generated by the system for future reference

The remuneration details for the Nurse posts on contract basis are as under:
Instructions
- Contract tenure is for a period of three years, extendable for a further period of two years subject to organizational requirements and individual performance.
- The posting shall be at CSL/any other CSL units/project sites as desired by CSL, and candidates are liable to be transferred within different units/work sites/projects in India or abroad.
- Applicants must ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements before submitting applications.
- Government of India directives on reservation apply; minimum 40% disability is required for PwBD with valid certificate in prescribed format.
- Experience will be reckoned as on 14 January 2026 and only post-qualification experience will be considered.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.
- The posts are purely on contract basis for a specific period and do not confer any right for permanent employment in CSL.
- Rank lists shall be maintained for the posts with validity up to 18 months from the date of reporting of the last candidate from the advised list or until a fresh notification is issued.
- CSL reserves the right to restrict/alter/cancel/modify the recruitment process and the number of posts notified.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification and only Indian nationals need to apply.
