Eligibility Criteria
- SRF: M.Tech (4 years UG + 2 years PG) in Food Science and Technology / Food Process Engineering / Food and Agricultural Process Engineering / Processing and Food Engineering / Food Processing Technology / Post Harvest Technology.
- YP-II (energy beverages & spun confectionery projects): M.Sc Community Science in Food Science & Nutrition / Food & Nutrition Science / Food Nutrition and Dietetics, or M.Sc Home Science in Foods and Nutrition, or B.Tech in Food Technology / Food Process Engineering / Food Science & Technology / Food Process Technology.
- YP (Tapioca based products): B.Tech (4-year UG) in Food Technology / Food Process Engineering / Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology, or M.Sc in Food Science / Food Science & Nutrition.
- PA (Herbal coffee): B.Tech (4-year UG) in Food Technology / Food Process Engineering / Food Science and Technology / Food Processing Technology.
- Candidates must meet age criteria of 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview.
Age Limit (as on 05-12-2025)
- Maximum Age: 35 years for men and 40 years for women for SRF/YP/PA posts as on date of interview.
- Age Relaxation: As per Government/Institute rules applicable to reserved categories.
Application Fee
- Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for candidates (except SC/ST/PWD/Women).
- SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
Salary/Stipend
- SRF: Rs. 42,000/- per month (consolidated pay).
- YP-II: Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated pay).
- YP: Rs. 25,000/- per month (consolidated pay).
- PA: Rs. 20,000/- per month + 10% HRA.
- Tenure for each post is up to the respective project completion dates specified in the vacancy table.
Selection Process
- Walk-in-interview in person at NIFTEM-T, Thanjavur on 05.12.2025 at 9.30 AM.
- Verification of original certificates, mark sheets, publications, photographs, CV and application form at the time of interview.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Selection is purely temporary and time-bound; tenure is till completion of project period and can be terminated at any time without reason.
How To Apply
- Download and fill the prescribed application form available on the NIFTEM-T website.
- Report in person for the walk-in-interview on 05.12.2025 at 9.30 AM at NIFTEM-T, Thanjavur.
- Bring filled-in hard copy of the application form along with photocopies and originals of all necessary documents/certificates for verification.
- Carry OBC/SC/ST/PH certificates, grade cards/mark sheets, publications, two recent colour passport-size photographs and CV.

Instructions
- The appointments are purely temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project period.
- Selected candidates have to work six days a week except second Saturday and Government holidays.
- Tenure is till completion of the respective project; engagement may be terminated at any time without assigning reasons, or by one-month notice / one-month consolidated pay in lieu of notice from candidate side.
- The selected candidate must devote full time to the project and related duties as assigned by PI/superiors; unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination without notice.
- The Institute reserves the right to revise, reschedule, cancel, suspend or withdraw the recruitment process or any advertised post without assigning reason; decision of the Institute is final.
