Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in any branch of Biological Sciences or Life Sciences from a recognized university or institution.
• Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and disease classification as per WHO ICD-10.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and handling large datasets.
• One year of experience in Epidemiology, Public Health or Medical Data Management is desirable.
• Experience in mortality coding using ICD-10 or processing verbal autopsy data will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system and knowledge of data flow processes within the health sector.
• Good analytical, communication and coordination skills for interaction with state-level health departments and partner institutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Range: Rs. 36,000/- per month for the post of Coder Supervisor.
• The position is on a project basis under the Unit for Strengthening Cause of Death Data (USCOD) at Centre for Cancer Epidemiology, TMC.
• Duration: Initially for a period of 06 months or till the continuation of the project, whichever is earlier.

• Selection will be through Walk-in Interview for the project post of Coder Supervisor.
• Candidates will be assessed based on eligibility, experience and performance in the interview as per project requirements.

Instructions

• Candidates must report between 10:00 am and 11:00 am on the day of the interview.
• The post is purely on a project basis and the duration is initially for 06 months or till the project continues, whichever is earlier.
• Candidates should ensure they meet the qualification and desirable experience criteria before appearing for the interview.
