Eligibility Criteria

Public Health Worker

• 12th pass and Government recognized Sanitary Inspector Course pass; or Government recognized Multi Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) Course pass.
• For candidates who have previously worked in field duty in VMC Health Department: 10th pass and Government recognized Sanitary Inspector Course pass or Government recognized Multi Purpose Health Worker Course pass.
• Computer Basic Course pass is mandatory.
• Candidates with experience in health-related work will be given preference.
• Candidates who are residents of Vadodara city will be given preference.

Field Worker 

• Minimum 8th pass.
• Should know how to ride a bicycle.
• Preference to candidates with experience in health-related work. (1.4) Preference will be given to candidates from Vadodara city. 

Salary/Stipend

• Monthly remuneration for PHW: Rs. 16,462/- (fixed).
• Monthly remuneration for FW: Rs. 15,698/- (fixed).

Age Limit 

• Minimum age: Not less than 18 years on the date of advertisement.
• Maximum age: Not more than 45 years on the date of advertisement.
• For candidates who have previously performed field duty in Vadodara Municipal Corporation Health Department: maximum age not more than 59 years on the date of advertisement.
• Candidates currently working in VMC Health Department field duty and having age more than 45 years can also fill the online form.

Selection Process

• Applications will be accepted only through online mode on www.vmc.gov.in; postal or in-person applications will not be accepted.
• A common category-wise merit list will be prepared based on the prescribed marking system.
• Marks will be awarded based on educational qualifications (10th, 12th/diploma equivalent, and degree), with percentage-wise slabs and maximum 60 marks for education.
• Additional marks will be given for Government recognized Sanitary Inspector/MPHW course (maximum 10 marks), computer course (certificate/diploma/degree – maximum 5 marks), Vadodara city local residence (maximum 5 marks), general experience (maximum 20 marks), health sector experience and VMC health sector experience (maximum 20 marks), and COVID-19 work for VMCH (30 marks).
• Total maximum marks are 150 as per the detailed marking table included in the advertisement.
• Further process like written examination and/or oral interview will be decided by the competent authority of Vadodara Municipal Corporation.

General Information/Instructions

• Candidates must ensure that they possess the required eligibility before applying for the post.

• Reservation benefits will be available only to candidates belonging to categories recognized by the Government of Gujarat with valid caste certificates.
• Age limit: not more than 45 years on the date of advertisement, except as specifically relaxed for previous VMC Health Department field workers up to 59 years.
• SEBC candidates must submit the prescribed non-creamy layer certificate as per Social Justice and Empowerment Department circular in the specified format and date.
• Details filled in the online application form will be treated as final; details in original certificates will be considered at verification stage, and documents must be produced in original as and when demanded.
• Candidates cannot request category change after submitting the application form.
• Passing CCC level computer course (or equivalent as stated) is mandatory.
• Candidates attempting political or other recommendations directly or indirectly during the process will be disqualified.
• If any information in the application form is found incorrect at any stage, the application/appointment will be cancelled.
• No travelling allowance will be payable for attending document verification, written test, or oral test.
